In Honor Of "Lola"

"Lola" returned from Texas for a visit. It was so good to see an "old" friend. We had a Yarn Chick meeting and made her the guest of honor. We gabbed, knitted, crocheted, ATE, of course, and had a really good time.
This picture is of Caroline and "Lola". My picture of me and "Lola" was hideous! Man! I need a serious make-over!
"Lola" went back to Texas today. "Lola"! Your visit was toooooooooooooo short. I miss you again already, my friend! =(

Blanket of Love

Sassy is making a blanket for her family. Her husband told her that he wanted it, mistakes and all, and that I was forbidden to touch it or fix anything on it. Gotta love that!

Dee's Fuzzy Pillows

Dee is making fuzzy pillows out of white and blue eyelash yarn for her daughter's bedroom. She made me want to get in the stash and find some purple to make some for my bed. I will have to add them to my ever growing "Want -to-Make" list.

Sassy and the Cowgoose

Sassy loves cowboy stuff! Since she was coming to Yarn Chick Night, I had to dress Georgina, one of my geese friends, just for her.

I Can't Stop Making Dishcloths!

The Mason Dixon book has taken over my life! I have to make dishcloths! Everytime I finish one, I cast on for another!
I am going to share these with my yarn chick friends. Maybe I can share the "bug".

Mason Dixon Baby Bib

This bib was so easy to make. I think it turned out really cute. I am currently making another one in orange . I think I will make two burp rags to go with these too for the new mommy in October.

The New Bathroom

I gave my bathroom a make-over. After years of having my bathroom decorated in "turtles" I wanted something more modern. I am happy how it turned out.

Much Love For Mason- Dixon!

I found the blog for Mason Dixon and then found the book! I love everything in this knitting book! I am totally obsessed with it! I want to make it all!

My first creation from the book is a ball band dishcloth. The pattern was fun and I want to make tons of them. I remember my mom always used cotton dishcloths to wash the dishes. I remember one was green and cream. Maybe I will make one in those colors next as a "tribute".

Right now I am making a baby bib from the book for a friend who is due in October.

This book also makes you go crazy for Cotton yarn. And it's so cheap! Gotta love it!

Different Dishcloths

I am hooked on the dishcloths! Here's some more. These patterns came from a big book of 99 dishcloth patterns.

I love the color, it's Sugar n Creme Buttercream.

Organizing the Stash

Selling fireworks is over for the season so I can get back to my "normal" life. First thing I chose to do is clean up the yarn stash.

Wow, I have only been "collecting" yarn since January........

After the Stash Cleaning

It still looks like a lot. Didn't shrink. But I can now see everything and it will be so much easier to find exactly the yarn I need.

Gotta love Ziploc!

And now , of course, I want to go buy more yarn! LOL

Shoes For Heather

These "croccs" are made by Airwalks and we got them at Payless Shoes. They look so cute for us "fireworks sales people" and they are so comfortable.

Felted Bowl Hat

The Brat grabbed the bowl I am going to felt and was running around wearing it as a hat! We have wayyyyyyyyyy too much time on our hands waiting for fireworks customers. LOL

Firecracker Halter

I finished Ella's fourth of July halter today at the fireworks store, how funny!

It looks like the flag of Texas, I think. haha Right Cathy? Or am I just really tired from living at the store?

She got some red, white and blue crocs to go with it.

#1 My First Felted Purse!

Dee and I finally finished our purses we were knitting in our "Buddy Knit" together. We used a pattern in "Bags, A Knitter's Dozen". We both used Lion Brand Wool. I used the color Flower Garden. I don't remember the exact color name for hers.

This was our first felted bag for both of us.

As you can see, hers is a little smaller, remember that........

And here we go.................................................

#2 Swish Swish

We threw them in the washer with some towels and away we went........................... to watch the clock.

#3 We have Felted Purses

Well as you can see, Dee's shrunk wayyyyyy more than mine. Mine is still really huge. I think I can still try and felt it again and see what happens. Over all.... a really fun first time felting experience!

Little Green Felted Purse

After seeing "Crazy Aunt Purl's" little bracelet bag I came up with my own. I used Patons Classic Wool in Leaf Green. The bracelets came from Wal- Mart.

After

It took about 10 minutes to felt it. I love how cute it turned out! I will be making more felted purses, they are so much fun! Also, next I am going to make some felted bowls.

Another Halter

I made this little halter for Ella the other day. The pattern is from the new issue of Creative Knitting. I made it longer than the pattern shows because Ella doesn't want to show her tummy. LOL
I used Caron Simply Soft in Limelight and Red Hearts Sherbert for the i cord ties.
