Counting On Grace

I finished a book! I just don't read like I used to. I still make my lists of books to read and I still buy tons of books but....I never seem to find the time to read them. I'm usually knitting, crocheting or reading blogs.

So I finished the book we picked at book club. It was pretty good. A quick read.

It is also our "community's read" so book club is going to meet the author next month and we will also go eat out somewhere first. We haven't done that as a group yet. Hey! It's exciting!

Dreamcicle

I finished the baby blanket for my preggie friend. I loved the self striping yarn.

The best acomplishment of finishing this blanket was I actually knit the whole thing on a circular needle. This was a proud moment for me because I usually have to prop one of my needles on my leg...it might be a left handed thing..... and I did this whole blanket without propping once!!!! WOOHOO!!!! for me!!!!

A Parcel of Pigs

A good friend gave me a box of pigs for my b-day. I've been collecting pigs for years. I have so many I need to get a bigger apartment. LOL

It's been a busy week. Is it Summer yet? And DARN!!!! I didn't win the lottery last night so I could live my dream of having a store.

Nope! I'm not a drinker but I am a chocoholic!

Today was my "un-anniversary" with The Man. 19 years minus a few painfull months called "divorce", that's why it is called the "un-anniversary". We didn't celebrate. He had to work really late and I had to go home to my house across town. What a life!

I'm excited because this weekend starts the fall festivals. Can't wait. We go to all of them. Am excited to get more clothes for my concrete geese! This cute old lady has a booth there and makes the cutest outfits. I'm so embarrassed becuse the poor "girls" are still wearing their summer swimsuits! They need new outfits desperately!

Watching my FAVORITE show, Grey's Anatomy , now and crying like a baby. Must be because I have been suffering from PMS for 3 weeks! UGH!

We finally had a bookclub last night after not having one in ages! It was good to get together and see friends, while others were missed (because they call Texas home! and or had visiting relatives.) Love yah girls!

We had yummy sloppy joes, chips and dip, veggies, and wonderful desserts! MMMMMMMMMMMMMM!

Thanks Dee for my awesome "left over" lunch today! Much, much better than school food! LOL

We decided to read our community's book pick and also The Memory Keeper's Daughter.

We got a picture of us, but.....man! wish someone would have told me I needed to go back on the Slim Fast! I hate pictures! UGH!

We presented Steph with the blanket. I think she liked it. I think the other girls were also proud of their work on it. It was fun to do this together for our friend!

Hard Labor on Labor Day!

No! I'm not having a baby! Just working REALLY HARD on this supposed to be lazy and relaxed 3 day weekend.

I have until Thursday night to finish the "book club" blanket for our preggo friend.

I , of course, have been procrastinating for months to sew all our knitted and crocheted squares together. Remind me why I suggested this project in the first place????????

Oh, it's coming to me now, I remember..... We picked The Shop on Blossom Street for our book club read, it's about knitting,I tought a few people in the group to knit and crochet, we started a yarn chick group on the side, we decided to all make squares for a blanket for charity, then we decided to make the first blanket for expecting friend, people started loading me up with the squares, and then here we end up back here in my world of procrastination.

So after staying home most of the weekend working my fingers to the nubs....THE BLANKET IS FINISHED!!!!! YIPPEE!!!!!

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, I can rest now.....oops......remembered now I have to finish the orange and white blanky that I'm making for her baby shower that's........next Thursday!

UGH! Deadlines!

Last Friday was my birthday. It was a great day! Anything could be better than last year when The Man and The Brat forgot! LOL

The Man sent me flowers to work. They were so pretty!
My friends and family know me so well! I got gift cards to my fave stores!!!!

I'm going shopping this weekend and get some yarn.......yeah....I need more! haha

Felted Bowls

I really like making these felted bowls. These are my first two. They were crocheted. Haven't tried the knitted ones yet. Not that handy with a double pointed needle yet. LOL
