The weather has been beautiful! So not ready for socks, cold, gloomies,winter depression! =(

Have figured out that I am not good with BIG projects. I get bored, I put them down, and then they either sit there for years or....

So......smaller projects planned.

Knit one row of the Blue Blob and threw it back down. Am trying really hard to get it finished. Maybe I will force myself to knit atleast 2 rows (200 plus stitches per row) every day. I might get it done in a few weeks???

Crocheted on the bathroom rug. 2 Lady Antebellum cds= 8 rows! =) I have about 10 more inches to go on it. I can't wait. It is so cheerful looking!

Gonna eat some supp and then gonna read on my 900 page book. It totally floored me when I found that I've been reading on it since 2006! OMG! Yes, I've read many books in between, duhhhh.....but geez, that's quite a long time!!!!

Oh, and one last thing....Lishy!!!! after talking to Jess, I did find a song for "giraffe"!!!! Woooooo!!!!!!!!! hehehehehe

I talk to myself, I admit it! I can give myself some good advice too!

Am doing well in the "self-worth" department! Being strong and not settling for half-ass!

But wouldn't you know, got slapped in the face today with a reminder. The reminder of not one but two people that didn't find me worthy. I keep saying "Their loss! " I choose who is in my life now!

So...... here's some advice for you....Do what you say you are going to do or don't freaking say it in the first place! No matter how small or how big.....if you say you are going to do it, then DO IT!!!

I am sure you probably have no clue what I am rambling about....but I do! ....and that's all that matters! =)

Routines and Ruts

Got back into the routine of working this week......Blahhhhh.......but I need a paycheck. I have 29 kiddos in my class this year! OMG! That's a lot of tiny bodies to know the where abouts of....UGH! But knock on wood, seems like they are wayyyyy calmer than last years bunch.

Had the usual routine of Laundry/ Lishy today that also included the routine of yarny stuff. I finished a crocheted dishcloth. Lishy.......welllllllllllllllll....even though I know what she was working on......that picture still looks sooooooooooooooooooo WRONG! ROFLOL! and she is even bowing to her creation! =)~

and last but not least.....I live in the fear of getting back into a rut of being a hermit. But I don't know how to stop myself......and I keep listening to that voice inside me that keeps telling me that isn't it easier and safer to hide from the drama???

It was the annual Clay Day at a gallery in Brown County today. This was the fourth year we have went with my sister and Jeanne. It was a beautiful day, not hot at all!

Mindless

I get in these phases where I either don't knit or crochet at all or I have to be doing something mindless...

So.....I've been working on dishcloths again. I needed to build my stash up again anyways.

But as usual when Amy gets the cotton out....YES!!! She wants more and more! lol






Also working on the pink garter shawl. it's big enough for a cat now.lol

It's completely mindless too....just wish the yarn was softer. Would make it more enjoyable.

Ok.....I'm outta here....got to go look up new and exciting dishcloth patterns on ravelry!

The Goods

Yesterday I got another sign at Flower Factory. I hung this one by the front door. I can use all the help I can get. lol

3 skeins of cotton because I've become a crazy dishcloth making woman again!
2 skeins of Happy Feet. They are such a pretty multi color. I want to make something really really bad with them NOW!....but haven't decided what, yet. lol
And 1 skein of Heritage sock yarn because I loved the blue one that Lishy got me for Christmas! I luvvvv this yarn!!!
I am trying to step out of my PINK zone. I am getting into blues more and may try some greens down the road. Still no RED! Absolutely detest that color and no Orange! Yuck!

We Weren't in Kansas Anymore!

Ok, we (Lishy and I) planned this adventure awhile ago. Head to Indy to Mass Ave for some yarn, head back and eat at Logan's , and do some other shopping in Greenwood. No problem, right???

Here's a clue : She looks like Amelia Earhart in that hat.......yep......Miss "I know the address and how to get there"! lol

It's not like we haven't been there countless times before, right???

We first missed our exit! Then instead of the easy fix and simply turning around....we ended up in Beech Grove!

Passed a Gladstone Avenue and also realized I'd been to Beech Grove before when we passed the bar which was one of the stops on the last benefit ride I rode on........ both things pissing me off cause I left town today to get my mind off a certain........hmmmmmm.......lets see what their name will be today....ok..... DUMBASS LOSER???? Yep! that works! ARGHHHHHH!

We did eventually and luckily make it to Mass Ave. and we both got fantabulous yarn! weeeeeee!

Heading back to Greenwood we ran into a road closure! WTF! I was really hoping to end up in Hawaii! We figured out how to get around it thankfully!

We did well and didn't over eat at Logan's! Our waiter was a lefty! Smart boy! He got a nice tip! Weeeeeeeeeee!



We did lots of shopping for the wedding.

Seriously???? I really think I should wear these in my hair, don't you??? =)~

I made it through another summer fireworks season. Like always.....think this will have been my last! lol

Got to hang out with good friends, see old friends, meet amazing new people...but along with all that I had the usual drama! =( UGH!

The teenager is back with me 24/7.

And lets not forget the "elephant ankles"! OMG! That was so gross and soooooooo painful!

Now its time to enjoy my vacation till school starts back up. Am cleaning house.....in both ways....my real house and just cleaning and weeding the drama and losers from my life!

Haven't really been into the yarn so much. I can still feel the want of it, to do something amazing....just going through a downtime. Should pick back up after the "yarn crawl!"

Today...World Wide Knit and Crochet in Public Day.....I crocheted at the laundry mat and later at the fireworks store. Finished my shawl and started another! Wooooooo

Tonight...we went to a fireworks show in Hayden. We were gonna see lots of our new products..we didn't see much! Got hit with horizontal rain and 60 mile an hour winds! I was soaked to the bone and it was not pretty as you can see! ROFLOL!

Sunday Sillyness

Well....it started with opening my front door and finding a tiny pair of shoes on the welcome mat...hmmmmmm??????

.....it then continued with a little silly rain dance that resulted in a dropped 20 dollar bill. Thankfully I found it before anyone claimed it on the ground! lol

Then the Lishy brought me two presents! One sexy....oooh la la.....the other one.....chocolate....which might hinder my sexyness! ROFLOL

I started 3 different projects today. 2 dishcloths.....I threw them across the room.....

Then I realized a most important thing that MUST be made........new pole cozies for the store! Woooooooooo!!!!! Finally a mission I can get into!

Oh..... and I did knit 15 rows on that contraption that someday might be a blue button down cardi.

A Moment of Insanity...

I started a short sleeved top-down cardi......last weekend, the weekend before???

Simple enough. Cast on 84 stitches. Knit in stockinette for 9 and a half inches. Easy peasy!

Lalalalala.......14 millions years later....I finally reach the 9 and a half inches and this is where the insaneness begins...

I must place all these stitches on a holder and then proceed to pick up 26 stiches twice on the other side...

After a "laundry mat lesson" from Lishy I managed to pick up the stitches using a crochet hook and using some very choice words.....MANY CHOICE WORDS!!!

Was very proud of myself till I saw I picked up the stitches using a circular needle and the needle was not just twisted in the middle of the two sections, the sections were backwards from each other!!!

ARE YOU FREAKING SERIOUS???

Used another needle to move half the stitches and replace them correctly onto needle.

Knit two rows! And... it looks good. I picked up good teacher Lishy! Wooooooooo

But does the insanity end there? No, of course not. I am knitting this thing which looks like a crazy jumble...similar to my life...with two circular needles hanging out of it and 2 balls of yarn attached and.....I read further into the directions....when I get done with the two fronts I have to place them on holders too.....meaning I am gonna have 4 needles poking out of the thing.....

YEAH RIGHT!

We shall see if I can tackle this and succeed or will it get thrown across the room.

I need a drink now or some chocolate!

Let's see if I can get things in the right order of happening...

Over the hoodie....cast on for new project.....120 stitches, got to 40 and said forget that shit!

Looked at some nice ARMS! roflol! =)~

Went to Wally and didn't like the first cart, it's wheel was wobbley, so got another......that kept getting louder and LOUDER as I pushed it along....people were staring!

Got home and was being Super Woman and trying to get everything taken out of the Jeep in one load. Made it to the kitchen where the 12 pack of pop went flying out of my hands!...So now I got an 8 pack, a sticky rug, and the lovely after smell of diet Cherry Dr. Pepper.

Got a new knitting magazine and it has the pattern I want in it. Have I cast on???? Ummmm no. I am obsessed with youtube and bejeweled.lol

Ok, yes we knit or crochet at the laundry mat every week.......people are kinda getting used to us by now.lol

Whose Idea?

It was my idea but........what was I thinking???

Lishy and I were supposed to be done with our hoodies by now! But I think we are both bored out of our minds!

I keep giving myself excuses.....it's too slow going.....if the color was happier......I should have gone with short sleeves.....if , if, if....

I did knit about 30 rows on a sleeve today. Maybe, just maybe will finish it before sleep tonight.

That just leaves one more sleeve, a hood, sewing it all together......maybe finished before summer???????

Went to Mass Ave. with Lishy today. We both got plenty of yarn. I amazingly enough did not purchace any PINK! lol. I think we both wanted to rush home and start on something new. But.....we gotta get these Central Park Hoodies done!

We also ate too much at Logan's. UGH! But it tasted wonderful!!!!

Nap time....then I will make myself knit!

2009 Recap

Yes...I am kinda late with this.....get over it! lol

Highlights:
I rebonded with the teenager....it has been a wonderful experience! Keep your fingers crossed it continues.

I got 3 visits from my Cathy! 4th of July, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Thank you my friend for being here when I needed you!

Motorcycle rides.....yes! Something that I was scared shitless to do and then absolutely loved it!

My very first ever trip to Florida! What an amazing experience! I want to go back.....and stay! hehehe

Yes, there was knitting and crocheting and hanging with the Lishy! Woooooooooo!!!!!

Let's take a moment shall we and rejoice in the finishing of the livingroom afghan that was began in January of 2008!!!!!

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!

Most of the hours of crocheting this crocheted granny square were while watching Charmed.

So it is only fitting that earlier today I got the final dvd of Season 6 to work......had not been working for umpteem tries..... finished the last row and wove in all the ends!!!!!

Now off to start something new .....OF COURSE!!!!!.......Duhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
