Hello!!! I was under the weather last week with a BAD headache so this will be a double post! Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!
I have acquired some yarn. Aren't they so pretty???? Love love love all the different colors. They make me happy!!!
I also got my first Jessalu project bag! It is so stinking cute and the perfect size and of course it has my favorite thingies, CUPCAKES, on it!!!
I knit Jessie some coasters for her coffee table. That is my one FO for the 2 weeks. I am almost done with burp cloth #2 for Olivia, and I started a pair of socks. Yes, the chick who said Socks Suck! is jumping in and I am actually enjoying them. I've only did 20 rows though so we will see if the excitement lasts....
Books: I finished Hunger Games and started The Lucky One last night. It is the first book being read on my new NOOK! =)
Songs: Poison and Wine by The Civil Wars is wonderful! Safe and Sound by Taylor Swift and The Civil Wars (from Hunger Games) is good too...and Baby One More Time by Brittney Spears has been stuck in my head all day! hehehe
Lishy and I did our semi-annual yarn crawl yesterday. It was fun! We both got yummy yarn at Mass Ave. Knit Shop, ate at Logan's Steakhouse, and I got my new NOOK at Barnes and Noble. It was a great day!!!
Have a great week my friends and I will leave you with this...
Oh, Baby Baby... ;)~
THE PINK PURL
A little bit of this, a little bit of that, and a whole bunch of YARN! This is Me! This is my life.....

This Week with the Pink # 5
This week was busy with running errands every night and being full of snot. lol. I didn't get much yarny time at all. =(
Picture is of a Baby Genius Burp Cloth from the Mason Dixon book. Started it last night.
Still working on all previous projects and still reading Hunger Games.
Hopefully will have some stuff to talk about next week. For now I will leave you with this question...How much mucus can a human head actually produce???? ;)

This Week with the Pink # 4
Woohoo! It's Super Bowl Sunday!!! I really don't care too much about the football part of it considering the Colts are not in it, but it is in my home state and I love Madonna and the commercials and let's not forget the hours of knitting time! ;)
FOs of the week: I finished 3 baby hats. 2 crocheted and 1 knitted.
WIPs: I am still working on the Hedgerows shawl and the Rapunzel scarf. I had major startitis this week! I started a crocheted scarf. It consists of multiple strands of chain stitch. It's pink!!!! and will maybe, maybe, maybe be finished during the Super Bowl tonight so I can wear it to work tomorrow.
I started some crocheted socks last night, 3 different patterns, lol, but my lighting and my eyes are crap and I ripped them out and will wait to get needles to knit them instead.
I've gotten a little tired of baby hats so I cast on a baby burp cloth. It is what is pictured above. I LOVE the color!!! It is Sugar n Cream in the Psychedelic colorway. It makes me happy, happy, happy!!! It will either go in the "gift stash" pile or I will gift it to baby Olivia.
T.V Shows: This week I watched Once Upon A time, The Bachelor, American Idol, Vampire Diaries, Grey's Anatomy, Kitchen Nightmares and one of my favorite shows started again this week...Who Do You Think You Are.
Podcasts: Still watching my favorite The Knitgirllls and started to watch Round The Twist too.
Books: I am reading The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. Good so far.
Song of the week: Marry Me by Train
Random Mumblings: Hanging out yesterday in my jammies and knitting and eating and minding my own lazy business and got a visit from Lishy. She brought me.......YARN!!!! What a fun surprise and it was PINK!!!! DUH!!! ;)
Something else random...I don't know about others living in Indiana but.....I REALLY WANT SOME SNOW!!!! The weather has been amazingly warm and sunny days always make me smile...but!!!! It's winter and I would like me some snow and maybe atleast one snow day???!!!
Till next week, Happy Tangling and fondling! ;)

This Week with the Pink # 3
My FOs for the week were the "One Skein Chevron Scarf" seen above and a crocheted baby hat for Olivia, my friend's grandbaby.
My WIPs are still the Hedgerows shawl, Rapunzel scarf, and crocheted and knitted baby hats for charity.
This weeks knitting and crocheting took place during Once Upon a Time, The Bachelor, American Idol, Kitchen Nightmares, and multiple episodes of the Knitgirllls podcast.
During laundry with Lishy today she untangled her first homespun off her new spinning wheel and I finished the scarf I am wearing in the picture. =)
Books: I am putting down Bellefleur by Joyce Carol Oates for a bit. My friend that I am doing a buddy read with had to return her copy to the library. My next read will either be Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins or The Lucky One by Nicholas Sparks, both hopefully read in time before the movies come out.
Song for the week: Perfect by Pink. It holds special meaning for me and I've heard it a couple times randomly this week and it makes me smile.
Went to see One For the money last night with Lishy. I didn't like the book when I read it years ago but I really liked the movie. I like Katherine Heigl a lot and also Jason O'Mara.
This week it's supposed to be in the 50's. Crazy for January, but going to try and enjoy it...even though I would really, really, really love to have some snow!!!
Till next time, fondle some yarn!!!! ;)

This Week with the Pink # 2
What a foggy day! But atleast, my friends, the ice melted.
FO's: I had 2 this week! I am making preemie hats for charity. I crocheted 2 using bits of leftover I Love This Cotton. They are so soft and so cute. My goal, keeping with other 2012 goals, is to make 12 hats.
WIPS: While watching "The Knitgirllls" I worked on the Hedgerows shawl. It is big enough for a small dog now.
While watching my t.v. shows I knit on the Rapunzel Scarf and the One Skein Chevron Scarf.
At the laundry mat today with Lishy, I worked on the blue preemie cap.
While watching another podcast "Around The Twist" I started another preemie hat today.
Reading: I finished "The Best of Me" by Nicholas Sparks this week. I was not happy with the ending of this one. Seriously Nicholas??? UGH
I started "Bellefleur" by Joyce Carol Oates. I am doing a buddy read with my BFF Cathy. She gave me a copy of the book for Christmas. I've read it before when it first came out in the 80's. I loved it then in all it's dark and twisted and mixed up glory. This time it is going very very very slow. Wish me luck!
Song: I absolutely adore the song "Faster" by Matt Nathanson. It makes me smile and happy.
Randomness: I am contemplating knitting a pair of socks for myself. I have only knit one pair of socks before and they were for Cathy a couple of years ago. At the time I swore I would never knit another pair in my life but now...hmmm, we shall see.
I am enjoying all the projects I have going but I have startitis!!!! I wanna start so many new things. Somebody stop me!!! ;)
Have a good week my friends, till next time, needle on!

This Week with the Pink # 1
Ok, here goes... What I've been up to this past week:
FO's:
Crocheted one skein scarf from Stitch n Bitch in I Love This Yarn in Secrets colorway. (1)
WIPs:
While I watch The Knitgirllls podcast I am knitting on "Hedgerows" a shawl using Cascade Heritage Hand Paint in Briar Rose colorway. The shawl is big enough for a small cat right now. ;)
While watching my t.v. shows (Once Upon a Time, The Bachelor, Vampire Diaries, and Grey's Anatomy) I am knitting "Rapunzel's Curly Q Scarf" with I love This Yarn sport weight in the Seascape multi colorway.
While at the laundry mat with Lishy I am crocheting a one skein scarf in a chevron pattern using I Love This Yarn Overdyed in the Brileybug colorway.
Books:
Finished "The Violet's of March" by Sarah Jio (1). I thought it was very good.
Almost finished with "The Best Of Me" by Nicholas Sparks. About 40 pages to go and really hope it doesn't end up sad like most of his books do.Read both on my nook.
Misc. Not much else going on in the Pink world.lol. It was great to have a 3 day weekend though. ;)
I will try to have pictures with my projects in next week's post. My phone/ camera has been acting a bit wonky the last few days and is not doing anything I ask it to do. lol
Until next week friends...

2011
Hello there! Anyone home? =)
I usually do a end of year wrap up and failed miserably with that for 2011. So here goes...
Christmas knitting was a big success this year! I got everything done on time! My projects this year were: a crocheted table runner, 6 scarves knitted or crocheted, one pair of knit fingerless gloves, a felted purse, 4 dishcloths crocheted, and a pair of knit slippers.
Best parts of 2011: Jessie graduating from high school, Florida on Fall Break, finding the author Kate Morton, I love love love her books!!!, finding the Knitgirllls podcast, and my new tattoo!
Resolutions for 2012: Keep being just myself, telling it like it is with no holding back, ridding my life of losers, jerks, and meanies, and still hoping always for a great day.
Goals for 2012: The 12 and 12 project. 12 books read and 12 crochet/knit projects finished.
Also the goal to try and post atleast once a week...we will see how that one pans out. ;)

The UFOs have landed!!!
Here is a picture of all my unfinished projects listed in my previous post....minus the felted purse which is finished and drying at this moment at a friends house.
I, of course, want to start something new, but don't know what exactly, so that is a good thing. I need to finish this stuff! jeez!
My other UFO...Jessie is going to be moved out again on Friday. I need to work on making her room my Yarn Cave, just like I planned last time and didn't get to it. Lishy has offered to help. It won't be too hard, I hope. =)

My New Pet
Meet Agnes!
She is a Nook e-reader my sissy gave me!
I luv her!
Here she is doing what she does best........getting me to read! I've been in a very long reading slump and with having Agnes for a few short days I am already on book 2! =)
Here she is in her "winter coat" (cozy). She is getting ready to go to Aunties' for a sleep-over. She is having some issues that hopefully are meaningless and easy to fix.
I will miss Agnes when she is gone and wait patiently for her return. hehehe

hodgepodge
The weather has been beautiful! So not ready for socks, cold, gloomies, winter depression! =(
Have figured out that I am not good with BIG projects. I get bored, I put them down, and then they either sit there for years or....
So......smaller projects planned.
Knit one row of the Blue Blob and threw it back down. Am trying really hard to get it finished. Maybe I will force myself to knit atleast 2 rows (200 plus stitches per row) every day. I might get it done in a few weeks???
Crocheted on the bathroom rug. 2 Lady Antebellum cds= 8 rows! =) I have about 10 more inches to go on it. I can't wait. It is so cheerful looking!
Gonna eat some supp and then gonna read on my 900 page book. It totally floored me when I found that I've been reading on it since 2006! OMG! Yes, I've read many books in between, duhhhh.....but geez, that's quite a long time!!!!
Oh, and one last thing....Lishy!!!! after talking to Jess, I did find a song for "giraffe"!!!! Woooooo!!!!!!!!! hehehehehe

Do What you Say...
I talk to myself, I admit it! I can give myself some good advice too!
Am doing well in the "self-worth" department! Being strong and not settling for half-ass!
But wouldn't you know, got slapped in the face today with a reminder. The reminder of not one but two people that didn't find me worthy. I keep saying "Their loss! " I choose who is in my life now!
So...... here's some advice for you....Do what you say you are going to do or don't freaking say it in the first place! No matter how small or how big.....if you say you are going to do it, then DO IT!!!
I am sure you probably have no clue what I am rambling about....but I do! ....and that's all that matters! =)

Routines and Ruts
Got back into the routine of working this week......Blahhhhh.......but I need a paycheck. I have 29 kiddos in my class this year! OMG! That's a lot of tiny bodies to know the where abouts of....UGH! But knock on wood, seems like they are wayyyyy calmer than last years bunch.
Had the usual routine of Laundry/ Lishy today that also included the routine of yarny stuff. I finished a crocheted dishcloth. Lishy.......welllllllllllllllll....even though I know what she was working on......that picture still looks sooooooooooooooooooo WRONG! ROFLOL! and she is even bowing to her creation! =)~
and last but not least.....I live in the fear of getting back into a rut of being a hermit. But I don't know how to stop myself......and I keep listening to that voice inside me that keeps telling me that isn't it easier and safer to hide from the drama???
